Alcatel solutions for the Semiconductor Industry :
Alcatel launches boost customer Return on Investment
Alcatel Vacuum Technology has launched new chamber process management solutions to increase profitability in the semiconductor industry, and has consolidated its service operations.
The launches are part of a programme of innovations designed to raise the return on investment enjoyed by Alcatel’s customers in the SC industry, through smaller footprint/volume, fast ramp-up and process qualification, low hook-up costs and yield improvements. They include new solutions for chamber process management.
Alcatel’s innovative processes are reflected in its latest solutions for 300mm, including the IPUP A100, which was developed jointly with Applied Materials. The IPUP A100 pump, which enables innovative fab lay-out for 300 mm fabs for both load-lock and process applications, can be integrated inside the tool or in the subfloor.
And in a further demonstration of its innovative leadership in maglev turbopump technology, Alcatel is launching its new ATH2300M model , the smallest and lightest 300mm pump in the semiconductor industry.
“The combination of the two new products together with our intimate SC process know-how is clear evidence of how Alcatel is driving the pace of progress within the chamber press management (CPM) arena,” says F.della Faille, vice President..
In the product pipeline for 2001, Alcatel will introduce the ASM 182TD+ as an evolutionary enhancement to the existing highly-acclaimed ASM180TD+ . This leak detector is a compact product with excellent performances in term of sensitivity (5.10-12 mbar.l/s) and response time, it includes a 20m3/h frictionless dry pump and 30m3/h molecular drag pump as roughing pumping group. The new ASM 182TD+ incorporates features that simplify its use while also increasing performance.
Alcatel Vacuum Technology continues to consolidate its service operations in SC markets in North America, Europe, Japan and the Asia Pacific region. As part of this commitment, Alcatel Vacuum Technology recently established direct operations in Taiwan.
“This new approach to products and service demonstrates just how closely we listen to the needs of individual customers around the world,” says F.della Faille. “We are not content simply to create world class products but are also determined to help our SC customers improve their bottom line.”
