ACP 28 Series The final evolution in small dry pumping

Alcatel is introducing the ACP28, (28 m3/h dry roughing pump), to meet the increasingly demanding requirements of applications for which Cleanliness and Cost Of Ownership are main concerns. ACP28 series pumps are ideal solutions for applications such as: Standard version * Analytical instruments : * R&D : Particle accelerator beam lines - Electron microscopes Laboratory experiments - Residual gas analyzers * Industry : Light bulbs evacuation - Surface analyzers Load-locks of clean processes - Helium leak detectors - X-ray spectroscopy G version - Process monitoring - Focused ion beam - Load-locks and transfer chambers G2 version Featuring additional inert gas purge, ACP28G2 is specially recommended for applications where condensable vapor pumping is necessary. ACP28 series pumps benefits from the Alcatel's wide experience of Dry MultiRoots technology, resulting in high reliability and low maintenance cost. * No particulate contamination Thanks to the contactless design, there is no wearing parts in the path of pumped gases and therefore no particulates generation. * No hydrocarbon vapors backstreaming ACP28 series pumps are free of lubricant inside the pumping module, offering benefit of dry "oil free" vacuum. * Constant performances Thanks to constant internal clearances and constant rotational speed ( frequency converter driven motor ) the ACP28 pumps will provide constant pumping speed and ultimate pressure. * Low maintenance costs Thanks to its high level of reliability, ACP28 series require a complete overhaul only every 22 000 hours.Maintenance can be easily performed, using appropriate maintemanceand tools kits. The air-cooled ACP28 series require single-phase 115-230V 50/60 Hz AC power even though a high speed, three-phase motor drives the pump.A power converter on the pump converts the single-phase power source to the needed higher frequency three-phase signal.This design allows the ACP28 to run the pump at a consistent rotational speed regardless of the power source voltage or frequency.Voltage range selection is automatic; no need for manual configuration. The power converter also allows for remote-control operation, which includes on/off as well as pump speed status. The new Alcatel ACP28 series pumps provide a combination of oil-free, particle-free, consistent 27 m3/h / 3 .10-2 mbar vacuum performance. This combination enables customers to increase the performance of their existing vacuum systems as well as consider new applications that were not practical until now.
